Hit The Lights - Skip School, Start Fights (2008) (Retail)

Hit the Lights is a pop punk band from Lima, Ohio, signed to Triple Crown Records. Hit the Lights formed in 2003, taking their name from the first song from Metallica's debut album, Kill 'Em All. (Though it was later admitted on Steven's Untitled Rock Show by guitarist Omar Zehery to be from Christina Milian's song A.M to P.M, saying they heard the song and found the lyric interesting. Having no other name they adopted it.) They quickly found a devoted following with their energetic live performances.

Skip School Start Fights is the second full-length album by the band Hit The Lights. It was mixed by Zach Odom and Kenneth Mount (Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Cartel). It will be released on July 8th, 2008. This is the first release with their new vocalist, Nick Thompson, who used to play guitar and sing backup on their old material. Demo versions of the songs "Drop The Girl", "Stay Out," and "Don't Wait" were released on the internet shortly before their former vocalist Colin Ross left the band. The album will be streaming on their Myspace page starting Tuesday. July 1st at Midnight (EST).
